Fashion designer Marianne Fassler is constantly in the process of re-imagination, crafting original textiles and weaving together unlikely elements such as mohair and holographic lycra, with colour and print being vital to any Fassler collection.

This year, one of Marianne’s garments was nominated for Design Indaba’s Most Beautiful Object in SA.

She is the 2010 recipient of the AFI Fashion Award for Exceptional Contribution to Fashion in Africa and, in 2011, was represented at the 10th Triennale, Materials Revisited, at the Museum fur Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt. Last year Marianne showed a Trash to Treasure collection a La Ferme du Buisson in Paris.
