The Future of Content Creation and Collaboration in the SADC Region
Mduduzi Simelane is a social activist who has worked for global PR firms handling multi-national accounts in the tech industry, while also working within national and global consumer research industries, with a focus on black consumers.
His work on youth radio stations led him to believe that the SADC youth have a major role to play in telling their own narrative, and monetising these stories. In 2011, Mduduzi co-founded YouthContent Communications with his brother Thulasizwe. Traveling across the SADC Region in search of content generators, the aim is for BlackNation Video Network to collaborate with content producers, other creatives and soft/hardware engineers from across the SADC region to establish a truly independent multi-channel network, for the youth, by the youth – a project set to kick off in April 2018.
