Keys to Success – A Story of Authenticity
With artist parents and extensive travels throughout childhood, Paul’s upbringing was filled with different cultures and tastes. An ice-cream machine gifted as a 21st birthday present was the beginning of his ice cream-making journey.
Paul recognised that Johannesburg lacked great ice cream and, more importantly, an ice-cream culture. On completing his studies, he begun working with a university friend, Joshua Amoils, to take the business to another level. At Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream, artisans produce in small batches, with all-natural ingredients, folding in specially crafted flavours by hand, replicating the patience, attention to detail and aspiration for perfection that gave birth to the original mouthful.
